I am improving physically. I have not taken pain meds for 3 days and have not needed them. Gail made me take some tonight hoping it will let me sleep. My legs still wobble, and I walk like a drunk man rather than someone with cerebral palsey which is an improvement. If my legs don't revcover 100% we are suing the PA who had made up her mind I was faking when I first brought up my symptoms in January. The escalation could have been 100% avoided with an MRI.

Progress:

I will try to explain what I did. I will admit that the pattern is not 100% accurate to the provided paint scheme photo suggested. It got confusing, so I eventually invoked artistic license priviledges. It looks cool though. The colors I used were as follows.

Tan: based with Vallejo Model Air Dark Yellow #71025. Subsequent layers were Tamiya XF 60 Dark Yellow (thinned 50/50 with Mr Leveler), painted in fine squiggles over the Val, sticking mostly to the panel centers. A drop of XF2 white was added to highlight the centers of the upward facing horizontal panels.

Green: based in Val MA Cammo Green #71303. Next was Tamiya XF13 J.A. Green thinned with Mr. Leveler. I next added a drop of XF4 Yellow Green and sqiggly lines all green area. I then added a drop of XF2 White for the centers of the upward facing horizontals.

Black: Vallejo MA 71055 Black Gray base. Then applied Tamiya XF1 Black (again, thinned) to strengthen those lines.

I never taped anything off and free handed everything. I tried to use the Grex with a .2 needle and gave up. Grex just sucks for me. I know people love them, but I cannot get the fine tips to work. Their workhorse .5 needle with fan spray attachment is the only Grex I like. Give me a no-nonsense Iwata every day. I used a new Iwata HP-C PLUS on this with great satisfaction and results. I think it has a .18 needle. Anyway, it all looks cool to me.

I drybrushed white along edges and corners and on the rivets.

She's coming along nicely!

Ok my friends, I need advice. I am going to display the Apache with the avionics panels open and the blades in the stowed position. I need to know what other accessories would or would not be on the helicopter in such a scenario please.

I am reasonably certain there would be no ordnance onboard, correct? What about the pylons (what the ordnance attaches to if that is not the right word)?

Would #1 be on the wings?
#2 I am assuming are a "no".
But, #3 has me confused...
Here is a closer look at that area:

Would #4 be attached but not #5, or would none of it, or would all of it be on there?

Would #6 hangers that hold #7's be attached or would they be removed?

You always say build for me LOL. This one is blades stowed. The next one, if I can figure it out, will be blades rotating, fully armed, ready to kick ass.

What's left attached to the aircraft depends on a few things. When the birds get stowed for air transport in something like a C-17 the struts are "kneeled down" so the racks and rocket pods are removed. If the blades are stowed just for something like dense-packing them into a hangar or shipboard, the racks and pods are left on.

As for the pylons themselves, they'll only very occasionally be removed. The wings are usually clean when they get picked up from the factory and sometimes when they go back. In Afghanistan the inner pylons were sometimes removed to save weight and drag.

As for that Stinger missiles, the tubes can technically be reloaded but as I understand it not at the unit level. Pop the fired tube off, hang another one on. But not too many Apaches actually carry Stingers except for show.

I dont know if the tail folds but if it does it works well with folded rotors (on my RN lynx)
