Well Dave, It is alive ! :frantic
I am finally at a point where I have some time to model again :yipee
It seems my mind has had too much time to wander during my non modeling time .
I have decided to do several experimental things with this paint job .

Maybe I was not supposed to polish it before painting ?

Can't work out why you would use Future over your primer ( is that Tamiya grey bottled acrylic?)
then spray the Mr Metal paint on top of that - yes it will lift with tape what ever you do with it.

what did you polish?
The trick with this Mr Metal paint Christian is to spray it last.
Your best base would be Tamiya rattlecans, A/S 12 bare metal silver, cause if you do lift some metal paint, you have a nice buffer underneath it.
Testors 1409 metal sealer is the only one I have found that won't dull it severely - if you are after a high shine, but if you are not after a high shine then it's probably better you use another silver.
plus the more coats of the sealer the duller the shine will end up.
Masking over the sealed paint will still give you paint/sealer lift - that's just the way it is.

You got the Metal Sealer then Future and Acrylic color? Maybe the Future didn't stick to the metal sealer?
