Lewis Pruneau's Hindenburg

This is the gigantic shadowbox that Lewis Pruneau brought to Omaha. It was very difficult to photograph but is viewed in the reporters office that narrates the explosion. It has the recording of him and the lights, the moorings, figures on the ground watching. Unbelievable imagination. Pruneau has about the best imagination of anyone I know in the hobby! Just spectacular. I have some more pics in another camera, I'll try to post them later.

Both photographs by Ken Jones!

This is just wow. It looks even more real in the picture. The flames look so real. And this was a walk in Shadow box.

John, I know how he did the fire. He used cotton, cloud painted with black, LEDs behind in various colors to represent the real fire. He placed the cotton inside the frame and extended it above the zeppelin and continued the LEDs. This could only be done in a shadowbox. A diorama would be close to impossible. Actually, I believe this would be impossible without the shadowbox format!

If you would like more details, pop me an email or a PM!

Well, I just confirmed that Lewis' Hindenberg didn't even get an honorable mention. Because I don't want to say something I'll later regret, I'll make no further comment!

Here is another picture from Ken Jones.
