Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Waiting on a trip to Hobby Lobby for the booger-stick. They still have the best price.

I have (someplace) a packet of green plastic "booger sticks" but as usual "someplace" could mean I will find them tomorrow or in 6 months. Never really found a good use for them as they are sticky and I am so used to using tweezers that they don't work for me. Thus I am not too worried about where they are.

I think I came across those sticky boogers but didn't like them. These (since it is has stickiness on both ends) is a very light tack from what seems to be a silicone product. Just enough to pick up small parts but weak enough to release when challenged by another adhesive.

reading how to use them on beading channels, my only change is rinsing them in a sink with running water as I won't be using it for glitter or tiny beads. I would lightly wash in a cup of water which I can drain through a sieve in case tiny PE parts came loose. testing it now, took photos as mentioned but want to show the tips.

I did get these though ..........more Ukraine V Russia stuff.

Some photos... working better than I thought and will try to use in conjunction with the sticky mat. More photos will follow, if there is any interest:

I have entered a new phase for me of modelling where i buy a kit because i love the kit in its kit form and just enjoy owning it.
Makes no sense to me and i am wondering if its the onset of some form of Alzheimer's ?

This is the latest offering on pre order for MFH. Its stupidly expensive and its already sold out and not even in production till August....i think it was released on the 15th for pre order and sold out by the 20th so you have to be quick
Its my third MFH car to add to my four motorcycles.. Even the pictures are incomplete at presant

MFH seem to issue something each month, a lot of it is modern or F1 stuff which doesnt interest me but every now and then they come out with something like this, i would love to see what they could do with even earlier stuff. I tend to think if it has a roof iam not really intrested as it covers up so much of your work., i supose that why i like the bikes.

As per usual its a mix of white metal and resin and again a subject no one else would tackle which is a big part of the attraction.

I will update when MFH actually get round to making some 🤣

I tend to be brand loyal. Once I get on a brand I stick to it. I know others rave about the Harder and Steenbeck stuff but I dn't have issue with Badger. Yeah I got one that I never use because the enclosed handle makes it a pain to remove the needle.

The Postmistress brought a package from Japan yesterday. I just retired and I know money is tight right now, but I plainly lacked the ability to continue Life without these Sweet 1/144 model kits. I can see Sakai, Nishizawa, Ota, Tetsuzo and maybe Akamatsu as cats in the box art of the 70th Zero Anniversary kit. If a guy is feeling blue, the box art on these little gems never fails to bring cheer.

Wait till I do a comparison Bob. There were a number of things I didn't like about the Badgers all along and the H&S bypassed them and went straight to "so much better".
I get the needle removal thing, but the bit that I always hated was the air tip and paint tips on the Badgers. The air tip was always a pain to remove and the paint tip was always a small weird shape that you can just barely hold on to. The Krome and some of the other Badger brushes were a paint to pull the needles as you had to pull the back end off. The Sotar series are the only ones I liked in that aspect, as the needle goes all the way to the back end.

I have to say i am surprised at the criticism of the Krome. ?
I love mine :) I dont have a huge experience as all i had before was a paushe and that was awful.

I guess its what we in the Uk call a bit Marmite :)
