Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Hey, it only stated it was free! This was done by Dragon Models USA as they are a Bronco distributor. It is a great magazine but not relative to the kit.

Regards,

I know it was free. I guess I had way too much expectations.I honestly thought the free book would be on something like cold war era Soviet vehicles.:gogo

Today's eBay shipment.

Shalom.

Today I picked up the two kits the hobby shop 100 klicks from me was holding for me. Both are 1/35 scale. I got the Acdemy Tiger I Early and a gun to kill it with the Bronco 17-Pounder Pheasant. I bought the 17-Ponder ammo set a month or so ago.

I took a quick look inside the Tiger and the Pheasant boxes and was delighted to see that there isn't much PE in either kit. I detest fiddly aggravating PE! I think I'm going to enjoy building these two kits.

I see that there is a styrene 17-Pounder Archer SPG out no too. Finally we are getting some long awaited Commonwealth Countries armoured fighting vehicles.

Cheers from Peter

Didn't Richard Branson buy up the Concords and is trying to get them flying again?

Branson only offered 1 MILLION Pounds (my use pf the word 'only' being sarcasm). The rest of the project is funded by other investors:

Hey Guys,

This is th 1st. time I've been able to post in here. This is My haul from AMPS. A lot of Penny pinching over th last few Months as well as some Welcomed side work( I'm a plumber & fortunately some people needed work done) helped Me to get some Much needed supplies !!

Verlindin_Haul.JPG

If you look closely there are a few pieces that will go into th Monroe Perdue Build - That white box is a Through th Hatch detail for a Tiger I, The Grenadiers, The Dry Transfers in the Middle are Interior stencils for German AFV's. Check th Well Done GB to see what I'm doing. Those Pix I'll post inna minute. The other set that is not showing up very good are decals for German writing that was seen on some buildings. Some Lead Foil, a 120mm German Night Fighter.

Three of th Four are Raffle winnings ! Yeah ... Me with a 1/72nd. scale GMC HT. I guess I can always show it captured in th Kasserine pass ! The Book - I anxiously awaited PanzerWrecks arrival to th show & as soon as He unloaded them I pounced, like a proud Panther !! It looks AWESOME. That P.E. set - Don't be fooled. It's a PHAT set. Now .. all I need is a Pz. IV G kit !

If you look here, I stopped by to see Rick & John. I picked up th much talked about Shadow Brown & the Copper Oxide- It is supposed to give a nice patina to all things copper, Bronze, etc. I think It will look stellar as it will complement the Lions Heads on th Monroe Perdue Well. The Model Kasten Trax will look nice on the Wittman's Last Tiger , another pieced of the Monroe Perdue puzzle. I stopped by & saw MIG & IAN from AK interactive & after attending MIG's seminar I grabbed up those AK washes. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to JOHN STEINMAN & RICK LAWLER for Their Most excellent Seminar. JOHN handed out samples of th Snow & Ice FX. AWESOME stuff JOHN !!! Another ROCK SOLID seminar from Both Rick & John !! The Armand Bayardi Resin Italian Fountain was another Raffle grab. That Fountain is Fantastic looking. Armand does some really Great Lookin Stuff !! Finally some much needed Vallejo Flat & Satin Varnish I picked up from Chris @ CRM Hobbies. I also grabbed up a Hudson & Allen leaves set - I'm sorry but I forgot th Vendor  , he was behind CRM HOBBIES. Also some 88mm Ammo stencils from Archer.

Well ... That's all I was able to source. I'll hit th other forums to elaborate on My AMPS experience !! Yowza !

Erik,

Thanks for naming the vendors as it is important to see from whom we purchased and how our experience was. Behind CRM was Armor Plate Press. They had all the books. However, the section behind them was Jay Cesafsky as Tri-State Hobbies was across the aisle. also in the room were New World Miniatures (Chris Mrosko and his charming wife Nancy), Bill Miley with Chesapeake Model Designs, the previously mentioned CRM, and UMM-USA's overflow with all the Black Dog resin. This was the Palm room which was a bit far from the main vendor room.

Regards,

Some great prices from vendors at AMPS.

Hey Saul, I've been looking for one of those. I think they only make them for the Albatross at the moment. Now I know where to go. Thanks. You'll love the 109. Nice kit. I wonder if they will continue the series.
