After the cool, little 3D printed gunboat model that came, I thought I might gamble on these 1/700 scale Auxiliary Intelligence Trawlers. They looked like whalers, but are big draggers. Opening the box showed something amiss. The just looked too little. Out comes the digital caliper and Wikipedia!

Wikipedia documents these well-known vessels at 47 meters (154.199 feet) Length Over All, 1/700 LOA magic waterline model calculator says 2.643 inches in LOA. These model trawlers actual length is 2.385 inches or 139.125 feet in real life. A little more creative mathematics tell us the actual scale of this kit is 1/760. The ChiCom 3D Print guys need additional math classes.
What's more is, this is THEIR Navy's ship!
