And that pearl harbour set looks interesting to :)

I see it is marked Pacific, is this your entry to the David Harper Pacific Campaign?

Regards,

NO- I don't do ships! But this is neat- I can get the PE set for the Arizona for 40 bucks- lol I got this for free, if I get the urge to do a ship, I'll get something to help detail this, but I'll build the Kate SOON. According to Internet Modeler, the Kate is an old Hasegawa molding with recessed lines. I could pull this out one weekend. CR

This package came from Ireland even though it was ordered from the Czech Republic!

And I picked up this French underwater cruiser from Heller.

It's a funny little bugger  .

That is a funny little bugger, does that turrent rotate? I would say no, because turned to the side the recoil could capsize the boat! Cool.

No it doesn't rotate. The molding's are of a green plastic simular to Matchbox kit's,though the molding is quite fine. :D
The resin conning tower is good but the p/e ladders and railings are so fine my four eye's may have difficulty seein them :blink
All in all not a bad kit for $14.

Here's what the UPS man brought me today. I plan on building her as the New Orleans.

Saul, here's a size comparison...

Now, to give another idea of the size of the Dodko, the San Antonio class is 684 ft long. The Wasp class is 844 ft long, almost 200 ft longer and 24 ft longer than a WWII Essex class carrier.

When you start this you better post something- I'm taking a liking to this.

I'm not taking pictures of this because its not a kit- (well not YET) just supplies...

4 -2 ea of two sizes micro drill bits - small enough to drill out the distributor cap in a 1/20 scale race car engine...don't ask why....lol

1 jar MM flat black
1 jar MM Gunmetal metalizer

1 bag ea of 12 inch long Evergreen 4.0 mm angle, 4 mm strips, 4.8 mm channel, 1.5 mm strips and 3/32 tubing.

While I was there picking this stuff up, I found a lonely little Tamiya 7.3 something gun that I cradled around the tiny store while looking for other stuff- it took a bit of will to put it back on the shelf!

All I went for was the flat black! I think I did well. Go figure.

Damn Saul, I have already installed some of that stuff! Hang on through the weekend and I'll post pics of some of my little haul! Funny. :fencing

Thanks.
Some more came in today. The last of the pre unemployment splurge.

The 25 pounder looks incredible. Early and late models can be built. Full load of ammo. Only thing I would lament is the rounds are cojoined in pairs. But wow.
Now to butcher the AK stuff. wish me luck.
