Sweet toy's :cheer: , the detail in the vulcan kit is damm good for the price ($10 here in Aus ).
Haven't heard of Mantis though.

I finally gave in to temptation, and bought this kit. Amazon had it.I am thinking of a red brown, flat brown,NATO black camo, with ZOD written on the turret sides.

It is definitely a Paper Panzer. not really my cup of tea but I can't always decide what is sent to me for review. In this case, my son asked for it to be built. The E-100 in the Photo Review has already been sent to a new home.

Regards,

Thanks Saul.
I did not think about kitbashing the two Pattons together. :hmmm I know I was gonna see if the AFV Club tracks will fit on the Monogram kit.I also have somewhere in the stash an old Lo Models plastic conversion to make an M48A2GA2. I may see if I can use the Monogram A2 to make that W. german version. :v

A trip to Blicks for some flow enhancer and some water oils, a pack of pipettes, and a brush ,I do like those sceptre`s they are obviously not as good as the series 7 and a lot cheaper but still are Windsor and Newton and used both for acrylics and oils and as far as Im concerned I like em.

Plus there was a 40% off sale going on there today too :D

Next stop was Hobby Town USA to look at the empty racks of Tamiya paints apparently end of sept should see the new batch arrive back into the shops

Also the local hobbytown may be moving nearer my house after xmas and they will be stocking Vallejo :drinks :drinks

I stumbled across the sale section and swiftly snapped up this Pz IV H for $27.50 :notworthy

An enjoyable day of purchasement :geek :geek :geek

OOh and a little something from Sprue Bros to come in the post which I am quite excited about

ANDY,

Yeah Dude ! Great Score on th Pz. IV !! Speaking of HobbyTown .... the one down here just stocked some Vallejo - the Model Air line & the Panzer Aces ( which after an E-Mail to all of th AMPSCV members - gave a run on th Vallejo ) , the LHS across town just popped for the Vallejo Model Colors 6' rack !! So, I'm in Hogg Heaven !!

Again , Great Score ANDY !!!!

Oh , Question - How well do you like that Flow extender ? Have you ever tried the Slow Blending Gel from Liquitex ?

Acrylic Oil ? Tell Me more ....

Pints & Paints !

:drinks

In answer to your question my hairy friend, :woohoo:

I have spent the evening testing out the flow enhancer and what a difference it made to my painting

Firstly to have to dilute it 10 parts water to 1 part Flow E`,.... the difference what noticeable straight away with initial painting,..
also it extends the drying time and you are able to blend the acrylics something I have never been able to achieve before.
so all good as far as Im concerned (y) (y) (y)

yeah I read about water diluted oil paints before so I though Id give it a crack and also made a difference to me ( my major let down in figures is the cheekbone shading ) but I was able to get that good tonight plus I was able to blend that into my acrylics too if you can believe that !!!

Oils and acrylics what a concept :)

All in all a very happy bunny tonight ! :D

:ro: Big Daddy. That sounds like th Ticket. WoW !!! Pix ???

Flow enhancer - So If I put th stuff in an Empty Vallejo Bottle - 10 drops of water to 1 drop of Enhancer, take that mix & then add it to th Vallejo ?

I smell an SBS on th Horizon ???? :v
