Thanks dude on the other place I got comment like "the price of Razor-blades will be going down" When I mentioned this ship ..... If you can swing by on the way back from Eagle Quest ..... there is also a sub down there ..... I've tried to build a carrier (ask Ed) but maybe a Battleship will be completed ..... But at least it will look very good on the kits to be built shelf ...... I need to check for PE sets & extras now ............. ldguy

I had seen the USS Texas last time I was down that-a-way. Didn't get a chance to get up close tho. Just like the Hornet here in Calif. Seen her off in the distance.
Now ya got me curious, which sub is beside the Texas? :hmmm

Not beside it but the place is in North Galveston about 50 Miles ..... (To a Texan that's considered close)

Sea Wolf Park is located on Galveston's Pelican Island on a former immigration station site. The park offers one of the island's most popular fishing piers, picnic sites and a playground. The park is also home to tourist attractions, including the WWII submarine the USS Cavalla and one of only three destroyer escorts in the world, the USS Stewart. The remains of the WWI tanker S.S. Selma, the largest concrete ship constructed, can be seen northwest of the park's fishing pier.

Got my CTAII package today from Hubert aka dewertus.

Mirage Hobby "Kubus" armored car, and a very nice book with lots of nice images. Book is entirely in Polish, so I'm not able to read it, but I do have a coworker who is Polish (his parents I think are from Poland, so afaik, he can speak/read Polish).

Looks like a very nice little kit, that should make for a nice change of pace from other things.

How about Italian? I got the Panart gunboat kit. I've tried several translation program thingys, but all they spit out is gibberish.

Speaking of gibberish, :huh: have any of you tried to read the english histories that Trumpeter prints on the outside of their models?

Quite possibly the translate program is doing the same thing with Italian. (I am resisting with great effort a remark about language and gibberish) :gogo

The plan sheets have 20 to 30 word instructions and notes with each step. When I have used a translation program, I come up with a string of words that seem to be somewhat unrelated to each other.
as an example,

"Incastrare ora tra le ordinate il ponte di allineamento n. 9 curando che entri nelle varie sedi con precision ma senza forzature."

came out as

"Wedge now between the ordered alignment bridge No. 9 making sure that come in various venues with precision but forcing."

Some of the groups of words I tried to do came out worse than that, simply, to me anyway, a jumble of unrelated words. Not exactly what I hoped for. There are about 40 groups of words similar to this, plus about 40 or so groups of one two or three words that I assume describe or name a part.

I could probably build the ship without the info, but I'm sure it would be a great assistance if I could read the information as I'm sure there was a reason to print the information in the first place. I've e-mailed a few of the suppliers of Panart kits but none have had any guidance for me. I've also not found a link or site for the company either.

Fix now & align bridge number 9 (Saúl's note - is this a nautical term?) ensuring it is does precisely but without forcing [it or them].

I've e-mailed a few of the suppliers of Panart kits but none have had any guidance for me. I've also not found a link or site for the company either.

The reason for that is because Panart is a subsidiary of Mantua. click name for website.

Not a nautical term that I know of, but, the arrow points to a flat part listed as part #9. The part seems to be a guide template to align the ribs during assembly, then removed after the hull planking is completed.
