Some time back I'd been given a Gift Certificate for Military Hobbies for my birthday. Yesterday, after our IPMS E-board meeting (held at Military Hobbies) I put it toward the purchase of this:

Gee, with both Dora and Annie in my collection, I'm getting quite the harem....

I was so happy to finally get this. I took it to Hobby Day that same day and got started on it. You can see it in the "What's on Your Workbench" Thread with all the other projects I'd been working on.

I like it! How's the optics?

Just fine for me!You get 3 seperate lenses that you can click into frame,strongest is 3.5 x and that's good enough for all modelling me thinks.The LED gives more then enough light for any job.

Biggest pro is that you don't have the feeling that you have some kind of Kevlar helmet on your head.

Now the big question, can I clip them on my regular readers?

This is the same kit but made into a Sydonian Dragoon ...... I wonder if He knows Si Robinson ??? .... ldguy

I also received this Basing kit for the base of the figure ....... ldguy

That will also require this paint .... Martian Iron Earth ..... This is a technical the paint is put on thick then it will crack as it dries ...... ..... hopefully I can build this guy for Ya'll ...... I'll think of the category ...... ldguy

As much as I love Star Wars, I have never been into doing too much modeling with it...until I saw a few people picking up the new Bandai 1/48 AT-ST kit....had to go get me one...I took sprue pics if people want? I am saving this one for either the Movie build or the Star Wars build....

I'm thinking of picking up the Snowspeeder ($15 at HLJ) when it comes out in May and the X-Wing and Tie Fighter kits in 1/72 each for the same price...would be loads of fun Until then though-- I grabbed this ancient one of eBay and might throw another one into Geek Up...
