I just got rid of one kidney stone...

Barney

Well-known member
and have developed another one, in the same kidney. I have no idea how it is possible to develop a 7mm stone in under 3 months, but by gosh and golly, I did it! I am the MAN! :good:

How did I discover this newbie? The pain you say? No. I was experiencing upper abdominal problems and they did a CAT scan. No gall stones, not bad appendix... but there was the new stone... Humph...

Two days later I found out why I was having pains... I have shingles....

NOOOOO!!!!

Welcome to the club Barney. I had them last year and until I had the bypass, I didn't know what pain was. I'm really sick of relearning what pain is every year. :sick

Hang tough and keep on the pain meds, you don't realize how much it hurts till you start weaning off the meds and the pain is still there.

Barney, just wack your self in the head with a 26oz framing hammer and hopefully you will forget the shingles. I don't envy you one bit, brother.

I have anti-viral drugs and Tramadol for the pain... I woke up last night in agony, took a pill and slipped into sleep... they say this could go on for weeks! I don't have weeks! I have a vacation scheduled!

But what are you gonna do? :idonno

This beautiful body will be scarred forever (20-30 years, max) :frantic

I was out of work for a full week, had pain for longer than that. Still got a scar from it. Keep on schedule with the pain meds that's all I can say.

I feel your paint Barney. I had one back in September and it was horrible. Seems like all of us are falling apart lately :rotf Sending you some :zen

I've had two attacks in the past-- no kind of fun whatsoever. Least the appendix is gone so I never have to worry on that...

At present- got rid of the pink eye but now am dealing with an ear infection that won't leave or respond to meds...been without hearing in my left ear for two weeks now....this virus is killer...

On Tramadol, huh? It helps but can have some nasty side effect, had some serious problems with urinating while I had to take it when I had that freaking hernia.

Good luck,Barney! Here's some Zen for ya; :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen :zen

Gr,Ron.

Thanks, Ron. I have used Tramadol before and avoided the side effects, except for seeing a tall, leggy redhead with a great figure walking towards me

No, it isn't bad until I call my lady wife Brenda instead of Carol... :yipee

Jeeves... Dude! 2 attacks? Holy Sweet Mother of God!

I had dengue fever twice and thought that was bad... If I have to go through this again... Someone is gonna die!

Of course that could just be a side-effect of the Tramadol... but I really want to hurt someone on my short list...

I'm sorry to hear of your pains Barney ... and when Carol smacked ya I hope it didn't hurt too bad ... on the stones ... I have heard that eating pickles helps to keep them at bay ... on shingles I will just put you on my prayer list ... ands hope your pains pass soon ... :zen :zen :zen

Oh, Barney, that just sucks. I hope the shingles are brief! BTW, how the heck did you get Dengue- twice?!?

When I was in the military, I did a lot of time in tropical climates... A lot of time walking in the woods...

The blisters have scabbed over and the rash is going away. There is still some minor nerve pain, but that is just about gone too.

I got real lucky. Many people are laid up for weeks with the rash and the pain.

If you haven't gotten the Shingles Vaccination, do it NOW. I have had all sorts of bugs over the years and this is just about the worst. Even worse than my first wife! :yipee
