Still waiting on the Alba, it took almost two weeks to leave NZ, so I guess I'll have time before I need these. What happened to the Euro? I haven't been paying attention I guess, USD to Euro was almost even, I never remember it being so close.

Back to insanity, I passed that milemarker years ago with trying to resistance solder 4 piece Voyager German clamps.

Although all the stooopid buttons on the WWI winter flying suit is pushing my mine right now.

Just a heads up. The 1/48th turnbuckles look more in scale than the 1/32 for most stuff. They may look a bit rough but with some paint they look great. Bobs Buckles is also a good place to buy the eylets and tubing for the other end as only 1 turnbuckle was used per wire.

You're right about the 1:48 stuff James, that's what I used on the Eindecker control surfaces. Used the 1:32 turnbuckles on the support mast up top.

Those eyelets from Bob's Buckles are great but rigging back and forth out that tube, well yeah you're right about the insanity.

Well, instead of the tube you could turn the main rigging wire back on itself and wrap it like they did on the prototypes, 8 wraps for British, 10 wraps for German was the standard IIRC.
