Faun Franziska w/ SLT-56 Trailer

UPDATE 4/26/11 Re: Faun SLT-56

Tonight I got the first ramp attached to the trailer. I also added a few more bits and pieces. At this pace the trailer should be ready for paint soon:D

Looks like this project is going to be dead. One of the headlight holders is missing from the sprue and there is no way for me to scratch build that. So no head light- no model.

How about an oval of plastic with a piece of strip glued on, or a hole and some wires where it has been knocked off.
James

The head lights go into this part and the the whole thing is glued to the inside of the front bumper.

If this part goes behind the bumper where it can't be seen (I mean the dish, not the headlights), it should not be a problem then!

Regards,

You could try this, use the other side as a pattern, cut an oval from sheet plastic for the back. Find a spare PE fret or some plastic strip that is the same with as the sides, bend the brass around the second kit part or form it inside the hole in the bumper. Glue them together and you're back in the game. After you go through all this, the missing part will appear! Worst case, mash the bumper!!

I spoke with Rob (Viper_MP) today and when he gets back from Wonderfest we will try to make a resin cast since he needs some parts cast as well.

UPDATE Faun Franziska w/ SLT-56 Trailer

So while I am waiting on Rob to make my castings, I decided to fiddle around with the SLT a little more. I have been adding bits and pieces to the Tractor chassis and also doing a lot of small sub-assemblies that need filling and sanding. I decided to use only some of the PE parts since most are just way to small for me to handle. Here are some more of my progress pics. Some of the parts are just stuck on there right now.
