Faun Franziska w/ SLT-56 Trailer

Hi Joe,

Keep it up !!! Keep it up !!!!

I got the same in my stash with exactly the same PE set !

That is one damn huge & rewarding kit !

Watching your build closely. It looks very good so far.

Regs,

Richard

Thanks guys.

Yes it is a huge kit indeed. Kit and PE set total over 1400 parts and when build up it approx. 2 ft long. And eventually I plan on putting RoG's PzH 2000 on it. So this whole project will have around 2500 parts.

UPDATE: Faun Franziska w/ SLT-56 Trailer

Here is another update on my slow progress. I got the suspension and axles on the tractor as well as some of the PE on the second fender. I put a Flak Panther on the trailer to give you guys an idea about the size of this beast.

Thanks Mike and Terry. This project is definitely an exercise in puttying, sanding, perseverance, patience and learning new words that can not be repeated in this forum.

UPDATE 4/25/11 Re: Faun SLT-56 Trailer

I am slowly chugging along on this monster. I got more parts added and will provide pics later but I thought I show you guys what I am facing right now. Padlocks...yes I said padlocks in 1/35. I had to go so close to parts to take the picture that the lens actually touched the table. The largest part is about 5mmx5mm, so less than a 1/4" square. and the small parts have to be bend as well. I hope you guys come visit me occasionally on the happy farm and have a cup of tea with me. Btw, I have to make 8 of those padlocks.

OK, there is no way in the world that I make these parts look like a locked padlock. Some of the holes are way to small to get the padlock through, plus my carpet monster was hungry so I decided to feed it with one of the parts. I guess this model will have all open padlocks.

LEOPARD,

WoW !! That P.E. is coming out lookin Hot !!! Great Job on those fenders ! Whew -Wee look at th size of that Lock !! That's Opti-visor territory there !! Great Job !!

Thanks PA. As much PE as I am using on this kit I have never used in my life before. Here are a few more pics. The trailer is about 75% done not counting the wheels. I also started to make some progress on the tractor but as for now I build all the plastic sub assemblies before throwing the PE on.
