Here is what I will be building for the XMM groupbuild, the DML StuH 42 Ausf.G with zimmerit. I will be building it OOB.

This is what I have done so far, the chassis;

The 10,5 cm howitzer and the engine deck;

The super structure and the gun in place, all dry fitted;

Running gear dry fitted;

Tracks placed;

Now to the finish of the build;

Primer and base coat painted;

The sub-assemblies ready for detail painting and weathering;

Hi guys, thanks for the comments, and Ruben, not much progress the last weeks, a lot of work and not much modelling time, but I will start painting this beast next weekend so I can finish it before the end of this groupbuild!

Thanks Johhny, your comment did make me decide to give her some camo colors, also looking at Tomwes beautifull StuG IV with the handpainted camo, I did give it a try.

goooood job erik! you know that i'm not fond of chipping but for a first time chipping this looks good - a little bit big but from good quality!

this will be a beautiful beast when finished!

I agree, the "chips" are a bit to big, to be honest I didn't notice it untill you mentioned it. The chiping should be more subtle.

Well a lot of tank left for more practice :woohoo:

Hi Tom thanks for the comment. After seeing your StuG IV with the handpainted camo, I gave it a try myself, glad you like it!
