Dornier Do-17Z, Kitech 1/48

Some time ago I started work on the Do-17Z.

Now I understand why the price for the model was so low - fitting main elements it's a fiction. The main tools used up to now were: nail file, sandpaper and putty.

The interior of the cabin came a terrible emptiness (producer limited to the dashboard, seats (unfortunately only three), completely misguided floor side only oklicy rear gunner). Although I am inherently lazy and do not make parts for models, in this case was not able out. Adding side for the remaining length, modified floor panels and the addition of avionics was just a necessity.

Of course model will present one of Fins Do-17...

So now model looks:

I completely agree. The DO 17's and 217 series seem to be neglected  I have a DO 217N2 that has been trying to emerge from the box forever :(

By the looks of that kit you are a brave man sir. Keep up the good works !

Cheers, Christian B)

I have this kit in the Z and the N but are the Hobbycraft ones, Then I also have the Kitec Ju88.
However, I believe in your capable hands Hubert, that it will shine as a new diamond. I am anxious to see how this turns out.

Hubert,

I have been watching your work for a couple of years. Your skills are excellent. If this is anything like the HobbyCrap kits it will be a lot of work, but you are more than equal to the task...

Cool. The flying pencil looks so racy. I just cant imagine masking the green house in that small scale though. Patience of a saint (y) (y) (y)

Ohhh...He's a brave man who has all those little stingers pokin' out during the paint process.

careful Hubert!

That's great work there, makes me want to pull out my 48th Classic Airframes Do17Z and get her started!!
