thanks Guys for the compliments .

Its head down and into it ,The base is started and
ready for some clean up and paint.

There is a couple of small touch up areas on the nashorn but I'm edging closer and closer.....

I am most humbled by your words of praise and again ,thank you.
Apologies for the late replies.

I submit the progress stage and then jump back in and continue with the model work.

Here is the basepainted in the first stage .
3 colours used.
Tamiya blend of flat earth and buff
Lifecolour dust
and tamiya red brown as a base coat .
This is the first ealry stage of the base .
Once weathered and completed it will be white glued to the larger base .
From there the base gets weathered again to blend in with the model .

Great build, the photo etch looked fantastic, great paint job and camo, nice weathering, the figures look like they belong, and the base really rocks!!

I see your talents aren't limited to Shermans mate :)
This looks beaut; there is so much to look at with the open fighting compartment chock-full of Germans, and the blend between base and AFV is subtle enough to not be too obvious...
