Started working on this one a few months ago, but b/c of some problems, has sorta stalled out, but I'm hoping to get back on it and get it wrapped up soon.
Assembled prior to paint
Gun & tripod painted
And then the tripod weathered. Used Pro-Modeler black wash to weather the tripod, and I think it came out pretty good.
Unfortunately the gun has been the problem part of the build. Its been painted & stripped 3 times, but I'm making progress on it. I don't have any pictures of it where it sits right now. I painted it black, and then dry brushed it w/ Tamiya metallic grey, but unfortunately I think the dry brushing came out heavy, but was told by members of my model club to leave it, and just go back and dry brush w/ black, which I did, and I think it helped, it toned down the metallic grey, but I'm still not 100% happy w/ it. When I started the build, I got Mig Pigments Gun Metal, but when I put it on the gun, it just doesn't seem to show up, so I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, or what, but I plan on plugging away on it till its done.
The ultimate plan is to mount the gun on a base to display it as a small vignette in its deployed position.
