Well that sucks. Guess it is time to pick up a few of those figures I'd been wanting for awhile. Wonder why they are tossing out the molds and not selling them.

I spoke to Charlie Pritchett (ex Verlinden Productions employee). Francois is retiring. He kept the best dioramas to sell. The photo shows one damaged diorama being tossed out along with items used to pack the products.

The end result is the same, Verlinden Productions is gone. Perhaps the molds will show up under other names? Time will tell.

I'm sure the f****** recasters will have a field day since there won't be anyone to raise the issue.

On a related note, it appears Scale Hardware has closed as well. :(

Saw a picture on FB that shows all the molds and masters being trashed. Big truck carting off to dump. Was very surprised.

I only see mold sleeves, except for the diorama:

I emailed the owner, said his health was the issue. Hopefully he'll recover.

Charlie Pritchett: "Francois said that the molds have all already been recycled, and they were throwing TONS of production mold castings away when I was there yesterday."

Charlie Pritchett: "Yeah just the production masters (were destroyed). The original masters are still on site, but are not kept in the best shape..."

Christopher Mrosko posted a photo which he captioned as the seventh dumpster backing up to get loaded.

I feel that a better use could have been found before trashing. It's a shame to see so much work just tossed. Does not restore my faith in humanity. Gary
