Cold Lake Airshow

Well this weekend is the Cold Lake Airshow. Don't think I will be going though as the last airshow was a total zoo and clusterf____! Anyways not much of interest to me except the Leopard 2. I did pull over and watch the rescue chopper slinging a car yesterday though and supposedly it will do it during the airshow as well. Almost had to work on Saturday also but luckily that has been postponed.

James you should be able to wrangle a front and center seat. Get out there and take some shots for us! (y)

Based on the couple of visits I've made up there its like an airshow every day up there. Can't see why they would need a special day. :pp

A pair of Alaskan Aggressor Vipers have just arrived as well.

Unfortunately, were I am, cameras are verboten.

Cheers,
Rich

As I was leaving work a pair of Warthogs were in the circuit, they were supposed to be coming from 442nd Fighter Wing, Whiteman AFB, Mo.

Cheers,
Rich

Well no airshow for me. I was almost ready as well seeing as the B-52, A-10s and a couple of T-28 Trojans are there. Plus a few more things. But car decided it wanted to stay at work and watch without me. I hope Monday I can get it fixed. Sounds like it needs to be reprogrammed as it no longer sees my key. Did learn something and I wish it had been in the owners manual. If you have a push button start and the car does not see the key then push the button using the fob instead of your finger. It has to be the chip side. Thats the emergency start. Wish I had of known earlier. :bang head :bang head :bang head :bang head

A B-32 ? ? ? Surely not .

A sad end to the show. A T-28 Trojan, owned and operated by Bruce Evans of Calgary, crashed on the airfield during its performance this afternoon. Unfortunately, the pilot did not survive. The remainder of the show has been cancelled.

This is so sad. It happens all too often at airshows.

Thoughts and prayers to his friends and family.
