BV 138 Flying Clog

Wow, this is looking awesome Christian!

I like the addition of the catapult points. Nice detail!

:popcorn

Still waiting for my paints to arrive for the Lublin

Many thanks Phil and Warren :good: I appreciate the kind words :)

Here is today's handy work . Much plastic shaving and sanding but the wings are fairred in and primed :)

After a long search for the missing elevator, the tail surfaces are in work.... :soldier

thanks for looking . Cheers, Christian B)

Thank Bob , Luiz , T and Mike for looking in :)

Over the last few days I have added a few final details. Some sheet metal fairings, the aft hook, intake spliter plates and made some inserts so that the corrected props fit.

The control surfaces have been pined so that they can be posed in different position.

Finally last night I glued the booms to the rest of the airplane . Definitely not close to a happy marriage. Closer to Frankenstein !

I have absolutely nothing good to say about the fit. Serious gaps, overhangs parts that jut out.

It's gonna take some major efforts to fix it :vmad

Thanks for looking. Cheers, Christian B)

Haven't commented for a while but I'm still watching this Christian. It's coming along very nicely. (y) (y)

Thanks Dave, Paul .

Paul I was hopping that this last step would be less painful . Ready to paint myself. This is going to require some time to fix . :S

Cheers, Christian B)

Thanks Bob I need all I can get at this point. I was hopping for a less eventful conclusion to this build. :S

Thanks to the rest of you as well. Not about to give up now :fencing However, it has just gone from fitting and sanding to carving and leading .

With all the major components assembled, some of these places are hard to get to and wielding this thing around has become cumbersome ........Don't want it to have an industrial accident at this point.

Cheers, Christian B)

I am T . Just wish someone would offer some convex sanding devises for this job . Unfortunately I'm not aware of any....Even if there was, I'd have to order them :rotf and it would be two weeks away :pinch:

Cheers, Christian B)

Do you have those sanding pads? I also take a stick and bow it where I need to sort of do what you're thinkin' about, i think... :idonno

I have some Bob but they're not coarse enough for this job.

May need to go by the body shop to get ths right grit and then by lowes to get some glue :soldier
