BV 138 Flying Clog

Thank you Ryan . It's taking some effort but It's the only game in town.......So, this will be the difference between a finishing brick ( hopefully ) and and a concrete block :rotf

As far as I'm concerned, Hasegawa should be better for what you have to pay for them . Bare in mind I have very little experience with their larger kits.

Cheers, Christian B)

this is a real interesting build Chris. I wonder how this would lend itself to a turbo conversion. :hmmm

well isn't there one flying around Europe? Model of course, I couldnt afford the 1/1 kit.

There is a 1/1 Dornier DO 18T that has been converted to turbo prop . There are to surviving BV 138's.

Surely would be nice to see the real one. Quirky airplane :pilot

Thanks For taking the time to look in Randy . Always a pleasure to hear from you.

Glad to hear you've picked up some useful things here. To be honest, I've had to invent some solutions on my own on this build . :S

It's been challenging but not to the point where I wanted to used it for target practice :rotf

I hope to get some paint on the interior soon.

Thanks for taking the time to look Luiz . This one's being fun :)

I have no pictures of what's on the cockpit walls, so there goes the artistic license thingy :fencing

First the right side .

The bulkhead as well as some AM seats and some floor rails for the seats .

Some scratched rudder mechanism , PE pedals . The control sticks and yokes were so hard to clean up I just built some new assemblies :blink

Unfortunately I did not have any PE for a descent Instrument panel, so I'm stuck with the decal . Strangely enough , the panel itself was a light color.

Ah yes, let's not forget the throttle quadrant .

Finally , the rear compartments .

Guess now it's time to call it a night. Glue tomorrow :good:

Thanks for looking .Cheers, Christian B)

Thanks Bob , Dave, James , Luiz and Sherman for the encouragement .

Gluing and sanding today :soldier

Cheers, Christian B)

Well, here's today's progress report .

I have spent a lot of time sanding and scribing the fuselage to a point where I'm happy with it.

Just glued the wings on . There will be a lot of gap filling with super glue before I can move to the next step . :bang head

Thanks James . Just don't hold your breath as this is taking forever . :soldier

Almost forgot. While waiting for something else to dry I scratched the three points used to launch this beast from a catapult .
