Britts Construction Company '65 pickup

Playing with making the decal, the first is a scan of the actual bumper sticker we found in the tool box that was on the back of this truck. I don't know what happened to the truck but the tool box sat in my dad's back yard for years till we cleaned out the old house. Amazingly they are in excellent condition.

Here's the bigger sticker I crated in GIMP, I think I got close with the font.

I can't figure out how to center text layers but they look like they are here. Spacing looks funny but I'm replicating what was on the truck. I got decal paper and will give it a shot tomorrow.

I'm having trouble with the decal also. Using Gimp I create the layer to the size I want, 125 PX wide but it's coming out too pixilated.

by the time I print that it's illegible. I'm I over thinking it doing it in Gimp?

How wide, in inches or millimeters, are you going for? I 'think' I might resolve the pixelation issue when scaling down.

There's some fudge room there, I'm totally guestimating the size based on the space it takes up on the door.

I tried correcting the perspective, cropping the sign, and then finding a matching font for first row. I need to anti-alias (remove pixelization) for it to be ready

I got the font name but don't recall, I can check it out in Gimp this evening. I'll try that anti-alias also.

I have several hundred fonts and can then convert to vector graphics and manipulate. Should be pretty close with the resolution of the original photo I used. The "Greenwood, S.C." was not centered either.

It was, I have a bumper sticker version of this. I think we have one of the big ones somewhere.

Looking back at the reference photo it might have been off center. I'd rather this decal be centered up.
