Here's a GB that I think hasn't been done here on MA,

Build any aircraft the RAAF used during WWII, fighters, bombers, trainers etc, but Must have Australian markings.

Here is what I would build

testing the water to work out the start and finish dates.

Depending on the interest of just WWII, this could be expanded to all theaters of warfare, Korea, Vietnam, Hello's and jets, for example.

Aussie's In The Air

That's a good thought MP, maybe just make this one anything Aussie?

bit of history on the roundel which I didn't know! -

"Originally, the air force used the existing red, white and blue roundel of the Royal Air Force. However, during World War II, the inner red circle was removed after a No. 11 Squadron Catalina was mistaken for a Japanese aircraft by a US Navy Wildcat in the Pacific Theatre."

Aussie's In The Air

Seems like a pretty cool idea. I do have a 1/48 Brewster Buffalo that would fit the bill.

Aussie's In The Air

I have started a poll to try to attract some more interest, there maybe some members who may like to build civil or helicopters for example, what I'm thinking with the poll is

1/ only WWII aircraft - fighters, bombers, trainers, recon, floaters etc

2/ any war theatre - WWI WWII Korea Vietnam etc, again any class of aircraft

3/ anything used - war, civil, etc

cheers! :drinks

Can I suggest - purely from a selfish perspective - that this be opened-out to include New Zealand aswell...

...not trying to threadjack, just a thought.

That's a good thought Ian, I have revised this GB to include NZ aircraft - any war theater or civil aircraft

I would really like this GB to work and to attract interest from lots of members here, fingers crossed!

Throwing down the challenge to All MA members - this hasn't been done here before ( or has it???!!!) so.............!!!!

I will definitely take part.... Let's be honest I live here, so it's almost compulsory, and it gives me the excuse I need (yeah right like I need an excuse... :blink ), to buy/build an Airfix Vampire trainer !!.

Got a couple of Harvards around here somewhere aswell !!
