Interesting page BTW but you can clearly see from Mike's picture that it HAD weld bead added!
What a relieve,I don't have to remove it!

Couldn't find pictures from Stug Brigade 280 with the remote controled turret MG on their Stugs,so I had to scratch build the plate on the opening of it.

I did find back the Photo Etch zimmerit waffle stamp from Royal Model.After testing it I came to the conclusion that I didn't like it.
So had to find something alternative.From a left over 88mm ammo box from the Verlinden PAK 43 I made a waffle pattern zimmerit stamp;

Just test...test,testing,it on the not to be seen underside of the vehicle.Will have a proper try in daylight on the parts that will be visible.

More to come later.

(y)

So were all Stugs Zimmed?

No

Terry B)

Good! :coolio

Yep,Terry is absolutly right about that. :good:

Could not find photo's from Stug Brigade 280 during the Arnhem battle without zimmerit however.

Don't worry MP,if you ever wanna do a zimmerited Stug,you can always use aftermarket sheets of zim,ATAK has some nice thin resin sheets of zim for it.

My method of doing zim is just time consuming old school style. ;)

Greetings,Ron.
