Armored Jeep

I hardly found it, was taught that here a long time ago and I read in an article somewhere someone doing a Sherman like this. Thought I'd give it a go. :soldier

Coat of Nato Black. I did some playing, I mixed up some Yellow Ocher oil paint with Humbrol thinner...thin...and sprayed. :woohoo:

I got Olive Drab!

the OD you see on the wheels, that was Nato Black with Yellow Ocher over it. Looks like OD to me, what you think?

Only Nato Black, Yellow Ochre and Ivory Black (oxymoron right) oils.

Really thin layers of Yellow till you build up the tone you want, of course more you build up, the lighter shade you get. Sort of post shading right there on the fly. Came back with the black to darken some of the panel edges.

Whacha think?

Wow now that is neat idea :drinks , Just dont think I have the patience and time to build the color up like that

More I think of it, I think I saved time doing this Dave. Think about how much time would be spent switching colors, matching differnt shades, going back and forth with those shades. This I had two colors.

Humbrol :good:

Mats I bet you'd like it. I have dry brushed some of the yellow around the wheels to highlight them a bit.
