Armorcon 2026

[Jeeves]

Drove down to Connecticut last weekend to attend Armorcon and hung out with some good friends. I brought 4 pieces and 3 received silver and 1 gold...plus a couple special personal awards were left by my model by other modelers which I always appreciate. These were my pieces- with the Malta Valentine receiving the gold.

Also picked up some plastic from vendors and won the Marksman at the raffle....

I will start with sci-fi stuff....

There wasn't a ton of the Mecha/Sci-Fi stuff...and only one junior...I swear I took a photo of his big winning piece but cannot for the life of me find it now.

Some of the figures that stood out to me...

Our own Rob Riviezzo was there with some of his "naked" models on display like this BT tank...and he even painted one- the new Tamiya RSO he wrote up for MMI...

More armor pieces that stood out to me....

This was an interesting pieve- a plastic kit of a 1:1 track link with some masterful weathering and paintwork....

This guy had a handful of dioramas with lights and sounds-- I really liked all the details....the long one was from that scene in Captain America where he and the Howling Commandos come back from a crazy mission in WWII...

And a collection of more dioramas....
