Well, when I saw it , it was an outside static display and it was looking very raggedy :S
Not a good example but it's the only one that I ever had a chance to get close to.

I was very, very lucky to see Lightnings flying at airshows and from their 'nest' at Binbrook from the mid-1980's, and the was at BAe Warton (near Preston) for their last few flights as chase planes in 1991...
...Simply incredible machine, and in the UK still running (but not flying) at Bruntingthorpe.
