All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Got all the pieces for the neck of the horse on and cemented the head in place too. When it's cured I'l grind the neck to shape, add the ears and then smooth everyting in with some Squadron putty.

Here's a couple of more images of the Tamiya German Cavalry Set horse converted to a grazing horse.

Cheers from Peter

Stripping paint off the Nomad. I wasn't happy with the finish from the aerosol can and the laquer was making me sick. I did find an acrylic candy scarlet at the hobby shop along with a British crimson. I also want to try the Createx paint on upcoming projects.

Frankenhorses.

I needed a couple of horses for a project that's in tthe works. One horse needed to be grazing. I had some of those ancient Tamiya German Cavalry sets and decided to create a couple of Frankenhorses.

I cut the one to be grazing apart and added lots of thick plastic pieces to lengthen its neck and some more plastic pieces to splay the front legs.

Here's what it looks like thus far. You can see the original Tamiya horse as well as the first Tamiya German Cavalry horse I've modified.

Cheers from Peter

Looking good Peter. I've been wanting to paint a horse, think I can do better on one than a face. :rotf

Think Mike is talking about Eddy's photos.

OK Peter, Yer horsin' around again ay? INteresting build (y)

So Bob, think Mike's talkin' about my pics ay?

Ed...

If you change that switch near the lens to the flower, you should see some improvements in your focus...

I've been working some more on my Tamiya German Cavalry horse conversions.

Got the head glued on and the first coat of Squadron putty and roughly shaped the muscles. I'll add a bit more putty once I've improved the shape of the head where it joins the neck. Then I'll add the ears.

Here's what they look like now. The brown colour horse is another Tamiya German Cavalry horse modification.

Cheers from Peter
