All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Well just made it back home after dropping Sarah off at work. The car decided to crap out on me and had to have it towed home :bang head :bang head Luckily I had roadside assistance on my insurance so had no out of pocket expense. Which honestly is so worth paying the extra few bucks a month for. Now I get to figure out what is wrong with the car. Guess when it rains it pours. Oh and the state has decided to garnish my unemployment to get back the overpayments from the furlough. Even though I had already talked to them about a payment plan, but whatever. Time to spend some nice quite time at the bench to destress for awhile.

I've finally finished the large job I was doing, so I have a few days until the next job to get some model building done. Today I'm heading in to Physical therapy on my left thumb and afterward, I have the day to myself! Pics should be posted later this evening I hope!

Today I spent a few hours working on the car. Replaced the fuel filter and a coolant sensor. Also cleaned the throttle body and used some injector cleaner in the fuel tank. Seems to have fixed the issue with it stalling. But I will give it a few days just to make sure In the past day we have gotten a foot of snow. Of course the forcast has rain for all of next week. Also ordered a new fuselage side for the Kingfisher from Revell. It was really shortshot in the tail. So been a busy day.

I haven't made it to the garage ones this week. Tired from work when I get home. I need to get down there and get busy.

Ryan, try running the ethanol-free gas for a while. It's a little more expensive but after a couple of tanks you'll notice better mileage. I notice it on my truck that's for sure.

Thanks for the tip Bob. Ethanol free gas is hard to find here in Oregon. Heck we can't even pump our own gas here. There are a few places in town that I will have to check out though.

Every new station around here has it, old ones not so much. Cindy thinks I'm nuts driving across town to fill up with it but I know the truck runs better with it.

The Ethanol /gas does not run as clean and will cause you some fuel issues eventually . Probably a lower octane anyway .

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Going to my second day of Hobby Day weekend. I got one model finished yesterday and two more to the painting/touchup stage. I hope to get some more done now too. With the two finished ground vehicles done; I am now up to 645 finished Vehicles in 1/72 scale. Pics to come either Sunday or Monday.

If your truck has a fuel injector you should add a bottle of Lucas to a tank of that ethanol free gas Bob, phantom is right about the low octane.

Big leak in roof/ceiling... Waiting for landlord to get it in gear. :mpup

Good news is... Landlord will pay for cleaning of the chair that caught the leak. (y)

That's the stuff I added to the fuel tank. I swear by Lucas Oil products. Been using their oil additive whenever I change the oil in the old girl. Seems to keep the oil pressure up and less leaks. Figure the car is 21 years old so it needs all the help it can get :rotf I'll try the ethanol free gas next time I fill up. Doing some searching there are a total of 4 or 5 stations in town that offer it. Oregon is very odd that way.

Twenty-one years old? :coolio I have a pair of boots that old... just cannot get rid of good jump boots :yipee

I see that Oregon is getting some precipitation... :yipee

Had to order 2 new tires for the Sonota. Replaced 2 a month ago and was trying to s t r e t c h out the other 2. There are only 88.9K on the original tires... just don't make things like they used to....

Was watching Greatest Tank Battles The Battle of 73 Easting 1991 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN67BO4m9ZM)today and what did I see at the 06:25 point? A very nice right rear quarter view of an M-577!

Looks like I now have a new use for my second unstarted Tamiya M-577 kit.

Cheers from Peter

wow almost to 650 :good:
What is your plan for the year To get to 700?

Just keep building them. I have two artillery pieces in progress and just started three more tanks. Then there's the two WWI subjects I'm building as well. Yeah, I might just barely make it this year.
