Had another phone interview today, had one on Tuesday as well. Both interviews are for jobs doing what I'm doing now, just for more money than I make currently.

The interview on Tuesday I felt went extremely well. It lasted about 45 minutes, and just flowed the whole time. Todays interview only lasted about 30 minutes, and just seemed to jerk along. Several times it just stopped w/ no one saying anything for several seconds. A couple times I thought I'd lost the car, the pauses lasted that long. I think todays went ok, but it definitely didnt go nearly as well as the one on Tuesday.

Well today I am basically having my own air show. There is a fire about 5 miles west of town and the fire bombers have been flying low over my house all day. Cell service is down right now, but the internet still works. Luckily they have fire breaks in place from the last fire a few years back.

Oh I have the camera out. Just a bunch of Air Tractors so far. There was a Neptune earlier but he only came through once. Sounds like they already have it knocked down pretty well.

Spent all day driving, so finally relaxing. Had to drive from Mooresville to the SC/GA state line to meet w/ a friend of mine to get some parts for my truck. 5 hrs & 350 miles later, I have my parts, and next weekend they will all go on my truck. After that trip, I made a nice round about trip from my mom's place where the parts are being stashed, to Concord to get a set of tires for my truck, so I felt like I've driven all over the place today.

Well, my wife washed her barge yesterday, so I pitched in and did the interior, waxing and etailed the bejeebers out of it. Shiny..... :laugh:

We've been having a lot of rain lately. Good for the bench time but I can't seem to be making much progress. Still trying to prime up the Jug, guess I could have had the tracks made for the Sherman.

With my wife working six days a week, each Saturday is Dad's day to play house husband. Wife had a not so good week so I have also done all the cooking (I like cooking, so it is not a bad thing... except for the waistline).

For example, today my Latin side came out from breakfast, lunch (empanadas de queso), and supper which is Pernil al Horno con arroz y vegetales (Oven baked pork shoulder - picnic cut with rice and vegetables). For dessert is Flan (custard). Where is that thread with the recipes?

Anyway, did more progress on one of my Sandbagger's projects (replaced the wheels and getting it ready to prime).

Got home from the 2013 IPMS Nationals about 6 hours ago now, took over 800 photos trying to down load them now. I did not come back with "hardware" but Grace placed 2nd in Pre-teen figures. Not that I'm a proud Father .

I had a great time, I would say it was one of the greatest times I have had at a model show. Met some great people and well, spent way to much money. The drive back I was and still am kicking myself for not grabbing some kits when I saw them.

Anyways, I'll be putting up pictures as soon as I can.

Spent Friday and Sunday cleaning and prepping the floors in the new homestead. Saturday we had an army of volunteers from our church come in and start laying tile. They got 2/3 of the house done!

New floors as far as the eye can see!
