All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Yea, very heavy on RC, w/ a small section for trains and a small section for war gaming, but easily 60-70% of the store was devoted to RC.

Yea, it definitely is. I dont blame the stores for having large RC sections, since those are absolutely are what keeping them in business. But it would be nice to have a bit more selection to choose from.

I'm getting ready to draw storyboards all day- work is amazingly busy right now, and these will be shown later this week at ComicCon! Marc and I are heading down to San Diego Wednesday morning- staying on Coronado Island taking the bus to the con every morning. 130,000 attendees to chat with from my table, or at least it feels that way. ;) Models have to take a back seat for a bit. We also still have virtually no internet at work, so if I seem quiet lately, it's just that I'm both overwhelmed and a bit cut off. Everyone is doing wonderful work- I salute you all!

I'll be at the Comic Con as well. I'll be manning the HMGS Gaming tables there so if you have a bit of free time, stop on in and roll some dice. Hope to see you there.

I'm sure we'll be trying out the water taxi, Saul. ;) Mark- I hope we'll meet in that 60,00o-strong mob! I'll be in Artists Alley at table DD-01, right next to a big tower display of t-shirts. :geek

Went to finally take some pics in the shop upstairs (been trying to avoid the room due to the heat) and needless to say, after last week's storms with wind-- I came across this--

Either some AA was active or maybe my eyehooks were a bit too short...either way, I have assessed damages and for the most part, I should be able to fix things...just don't want to do it now...will get on it when things cool down....including my temper!

What da!???
What were you using to suspend them? Think the heat weakened the string?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Ugh, that sucks!

I had something similar happen a few years ago when I used to keep my builds on shelves. I left my window open and a big wind storm blew through that night. When I walked in there the next morning, it looked like Hickam Field on December 8th. Minus the black smoke...

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Nope...the wire was fine-- the hook I used to attach it to was too short and pulled out of the wall....got some longer ones now ;)

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Wow! Fortunately, despite the number of models I have currently hanging on the ceiling; I've never had this extent of damage. The only time I had something similar was when I was hanging my Mi-26 Halo and the An-12 Cub went into a nosedive. Fortunately, it was a very simple fix to do. And when I hung it back up, I made sure the (longer) hook was in a ceiling joist!

Glad to hear the damage is repairable. Good luck!

I wanted to give everyone an Ian update:

We started the new med on Tuesday morning and I saw NO seizures yesterday or today. Ian has not been this alert and curious in months. Thank you all for the prayers they are working. Please keep them coming, it is so nice to see a glimpse of our son back.
