Thunder storms that scare the **** out of the dog... lights blinking on and off... Spring on the Great North Coast!
37 school days to go!

Took my Revell Corvette ship model over to the local pond to launch and test the balast/trim before permanently installing the main decks. Need to correct a slight starboard list.

Would that be a 1/72 Flower class corvette?
Ahoy there me mateys!
Well shiver me timbers! I didn't think there was much to see so I didn't post any images.
however, this is what the model looked like on the water today. The open bridge area is just attached temporarily to the model. The main decks will be cemented in place ones the ballast is changed to correct the trim - list to starboard.
The model is 34 inches long and about 5.5 inches wide. Ballast is acquarium swtone mixed with silicone sealant and plaqce inside the hull on the bottom. This allows for removal of ballast if needed but is also firmly in place. No U-boats were spotted but there was a snapping turtle sunning itself on a log and watching the proceedings.
Thanks for looking and for your interest.
The premium version is worth it just for the extras. I managed to pick it up for under 200 which was less than the old one. If I get a chance I can check the old and new. Let me know which parts you want to know about.
