Tropical, we ain't! Hotternell, yes! I'd be glad to send the want ads to you if there were any!

Dear James and Mike...where do you live?...Usually I live in a super tropical city...Rio de Janeiro,Brazil...it's very difficult to accustom myself with the Antarctic climate...but anyway I'm enjoying so much this unique experience in my life!

Best regards for both!

Hi Luiz!

Thanks to you and JSteinman now I know what a schurtzen bracket is - although at first I was a bit thrown off by JS's coat hanger explanation...

This surely is one of the most amazing Threads here at TanksandThings.com, as we are treated not only to some great model building, but also to awesome pictures of the great wilderness of the Antarctic! Plus I finally understood what that wierd piece of equipement I see in many of your pics is meant for: bending the PEs... right?
emoticon_confused.gif
Would you know where can I get one...?
emoticon_noidea.gif

James: I had to zoom out a bit to know where you are located and only then did I understand the early snow warning you were talkin' about... Jeez, you're way up North!!!
emoticon_veryaffraid.gif
If anything, it should be a great place for indoor activities such as modelling, as I would guess you are "under snow" for the best part of the year, eh?

Cheers and please send us new updates as soon as they are available, Luiz: I'm certain that your posts are anxiously awaited by all of us! :)

Here I am, it's a geographical oddity. Located EXACTLY two weeks from everywhere!

Like James said, I hope this works. Rio is a place that has always intrigued me and it would be very cool to see a Leafs v. Canadiens game in person!

I'm enjoying your great work. Also the pictures from the South Pole. I'm pretty sure I would not like to visit, but I like your photos!

By the way, how are you going to get it home?

Dear friends...James,Tim,Mike,Fernão and Sherman...thanks a lot,for watching and commenting my thread...

@James...you're a good observer...really the prefabs perform very well, they are so fast on the building process...

@Fernão...yes my friend, this tool is fundamental on the P.E. bending process...I've got the mine with a friend in Rio...okay?

@Sherman...probably,we are coming back on last days of November...okay?

...after a long period without posting...so many tasks to deal...,at finally I've got to finish the Schurtzen phase...see the pics...

...hope you like this update...and this morning a Sea Wolf made a visit to us....

...see you soon...and best regards for all!

Luiz.

Alors là !!! :woohoo: ,I thought I had seen everything, but make a mock at south pole, the top!. In addition, Mr. we made a beautiful model, bravo ! :notworthy

Luiz, mais beleza ainda!

I'm building an early Pz IV Ausf.J, so I think if no differes too much from your H late.
I'm in doubt about the aplication of zimmerit on the glacis plate; do you think zimmerit was applied there on all panzer IVs? Or may be some has not?

Waiting for updates

Darío

:notworthy Everything looks in order here, your free to carry on with the next step and more pics Luiz :cheer: :notworthy

I have never heard of a Sea Wolf. This is better than the Nature Channel.

Olá Luiz,

I was about to send you a wake-up call, but you beat me to it and posted another one of your fine updates! And by the many replies you got, I guess others were also waiting for this update too…

Man, what an incredible job you’ve done fixin’ those metal plates to the sides of the tank: the fit is absolutely unbelievable :eek:hmy: – it looks as if the work has been done with the help of some high precision machine! Are those metal plates part of an accessories set, or were they cut and modeled by you?
emoticon_confused.gif
I wonder how you built everything so straight with such a great fit - specially those schurtzen bracket. :) BTW, those plates are still in a removable stage, no? I mean, how else are you going to paint the tank?
emoticon_noidea.gif
Someday you’re gonna have to tell me how you did it… ;)

About that PE tool you got from a friend of yours: do you think he still has some for sale? B)

Yo hood: I'd guess that the sea wolf is very probably what you guys call a sea lion... ;)

Well, I’ll surely be here waiting for your next installment: please, don’t make us wait too much!!!

Cheers!

My dear friends...Bob,Terry,Laurent,Laura,Dario,Tim,and Fernão...your kind words, motivating myself to finish this project...so thanks a lot for these ones!

@Dario...the zimm on the glacis plate depends upon the model that you chose...it's not a straight rule...ones had it others no...it's my point of view, okay?

@Fernão...the plates aren't an aftermarket set...they came together with the Dragon model...yes, the plates are removable, when I'll assembly the road wheels and the return rollers they will be removed as well as the sprocket and idler wheels...okay?

...about the p.e. bending tool I will send a PM to you...stay tunned!

@Tim...usually we call these big one of Sea Wolf...I think that in English they are called
of ...FUR SEALS....

...see another pics of me with these amazing animals...hope you like...

...me in front of a very strange vulcanic rocky formation, and near of the fur seals...

...best regards for all...and till the next update of the PzIV : The turret assembly...

Luiz.

Awesome updates. I'll be sorry to see this thread end because there wont be any more cool pictures. But I am looking forward to seeing her in paint. You are doing a masterful job and I am really enjoying it. Cool Seals by the way.
James

Ok, Sea Lions/Fur Seals I've heard of. They don't seem to mind being photographed.
