!/72 P-47DD Twinbolt

Let me show you my jugs :silly: This is a project I've been tinkering with this year - what if they made a twin Thunderbolt instead of the F-82 Twin Mustang?
Well I haven't finished yet - still more sanding and panel rescribing but she's getting closer.
The pix pretty much explain themselves - I used contact lens cases for the blisters on the wings. These are to house the double wheel main gear. The pod under the centre section will have guns in eventually. Enjoy -

It's here on the underside that I need to do the most work - but at least it won't really be seen if I make a complete mess of it(more than it is already lol)

Can't wait to see this Dave, (I'm at work and photobucket is blocked for some odd reason). I always enjoy a nice pair of jugs... :dance

I really like the concept and how youve pulled it off. I know its past the stage, but maybe with a twin wheel a retraction inboard rather than out board would have been better. Purely a hypothetical comment. Can you imagine this beast diving down on a hapless fighter or bomber?? Just boggles the mind. (y) (y) (y) (y)
