A little more work done.
First a misted coat of the sand tan brown mixed with a little matt clear to blend it a little.

Then a coat of sin filters "orange for desert yellow" to dull the whole lot down.

It's hard to see on the pics but it has made a difference.

The thing to keep in mind is that they were trying to tone the brightness of the blue paint .

Very nice! What brand of RLM 79 did you use?

I used Lifecolor paints on this one Dave.But I mixed a touch of Rotbraun (ua 211) to the Sand Yellow (ua 137) just to deepen the shade a little as it looked a little pinkish to me fresh from the bottle.
This may not be the (accurate) shade but it look's good to me.
