The waterline hull for the Marlin. The portside forward hatch will be open for line handling and transferring supplies from small boats.
Marlins at anchor rest on one wing float or the other. I discovered some glaring flaws in the original castings. I'll fix those while I'm at it.

Something just doesn't look right about the waterline you have so I did some looky loo online and found these 3 photos.

I thought your waterline looked a little too tail down in the water and thought it should be sitting more level. A photo is worth more than my "it doesn't look right" feel.

Paul I think the cord of the wing root might be throwing you off. That wing looks like it's got a high aoa.

Bear in mind the Marlin is resting on one wing float or the other. It isn't like a P-Boat (PBY), or PBM that sits on both wing floats at anchor. That and the P5M-2 (T-tail seaplane) is a slightly beefier airplane than the -1 Marlin. Cool pictures!

Actually what I was using for a guide was the top of the fuselage. In the photos it appears to be mostly flat with just a hint of slant down toward the tail. Also Chris I had one photo with the standard type tail. The photos are there for a reference, use them or not as it is your build. I just saw something that to me looked a little off, so I did a little looky-loo for reference photos.

In order to provide proper maritime patrol and weather recon for my 1/700 US Coast Guard cutters,

I ordered 4 1/700 Spartan C-27J airplanes in white versatile plastic from Shapeways. You know, the course 3D print material that is a paint and clear gloss sponge.
It is bad form, indeed for airplanes, even in this dinky scale to lie on their tails.

7/32" Birdshot from a shotgun shell came to the rescue!

There, better! Properly sitting on their nose gear, even if these never get any more detail than this.
Better 1/700 USCG Spartans than these are on the way. Plenty of birdshot is left!

A new 1/700 scale Seaplane kit is brewing at my lil shop. Grumman Albatross and Martin PBM-3/5 in glorious 1/700 scale! There's even a terminal building for welcoming Caribbean flying boat passengers. The HU-16 started out as Jimmy "Buffett's Hemisphere Dancer" but she has the long HU-16E/UF-2G wings and I forgot to cut .291 inches off of them and round the wingtips. OOPS!

A wee stretch of shoreline, a grove of palms waving in the cool breeze and the Hemisphere Dancer zooming by at tree top level, In a 3" cube, perhaps? The 150-foot schooner Lucretia, tied up at the dock, would be too much model for a cube that size.

I went with a bright, Caribbean paint job for my little terminal. I think Jimmy would approve.

These are resin copies of 3D printed 1/350 scale AIM-54c "Feenie-Bombs" AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9M Sidewinder missiles. Also included are 10 1/700 external fuel tanks, ideally for making a military version of my delicate, tiny HU-16E Albatross, but suitable for other Jet aircraft as well. These were made with Tamiya 1/350 Modern Jet aircraft in mind. Their kit includes no wep's. I rushed the first casting removal while a movie was on last night. The next batch will be removed more carefully. I thought about 1/350 tanks and palates for the Phoenix. Nah.

A typical Tomcat combat loadout would be 2, 2 and 2. That is to say, 2 Sidewinders, 2 sparrows and 2 Phoenix missiles with 2 270 gallon external fuel tanks. I prefer 4-0-2. The more reliable Sidewinder is superior to the Sparrow in ACM environments, in my opinion.

Now, the same pricing structure exists for these as the other copies I have made. These are NOT my intellectual property. I can't sell them for profit, but if you chip in for materials and buy the postage, I will be glad to send you a set of your very own. You will find the polyurethane plastic easier to paint and less brittle than the originals.

The 1/35 scale women's boots are for a couple of provocative 1/35 female figures of past acquaintances. They were warned. "I am a model maker. Be respectful or your shall be immortalized in an "artistic" way I promise you may not like!"
Both of these wimmin-people had VERY distinctive physical features. If you want, I can include boots too.
