A pair of desert snakes

We had enough here (about 4 or 5 inches) that the boss called off work and thus I had a build day. Finally got busy with my Ju88 Getting the seat belts done and the seats installed. The two seats on the port side need to be folded up. The rear one is not an issue as it is already done that way. The front seat for the navigator/bombardier does a weird fold up to the side and trying to get it done right is being a real pain.
I will have photos once it is all installed. That cockpit is complicated and busy as hell, but looks great.

The snow we had.

With the short break in the weather, I was able to rattle can a oat of flat black to both models. This morning, I brush painted a thin coat of Vallejo Iraqui Sand color on the S model. This evening, I gave it a second coat. It's going to need more coats. This process has worked on previous models with this paint. Gary S.

Thanks Sharkmouth, being a "copy... upload...download then paste" idiot, I need a step by step. Now I can show my wife and she will handle it for me...lol.

Finally, after multiple coats, I think the S model is painted. I held off on painting the W model to make certain I had enough paint. It has several coats now with at least one more in the morning. The tail boom will be gray and the second color on the fuselage will be Italian sand. Gary S.

This is on my to-do list but need to get some Centaur decals as they weren't included in the kit releases I have. If I need to make my own, I will need to use the 32nd scale ICM kit which does include the "#1 Du Me Mi" markings (I also have them in an ancient MicroScale sheet in 32nd scale designed for the Revell AH-1G, OH-6A, and UH-1D kits):

This is the scheme everyone knows and loves but no Centaur added yet (or was it removed?):

The Centaur was probably added last. We had a stemple that we used. Also the teeth are not done in the original pattern. The above Cobra was the first ship painted with Centaur teeth. The translation is #1 Mother F'er. This Cobra is after my time when my unit moves to Phu Bai up in I Corps on the coast. On my models, I hand painted the Centaurs with a toothpick. Gary S.
