Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

@Sherman 18, I had some time on the reading throne to peruse it and it is chock full of information, loads of photos of the T series, Chapter One had walk around photo groups, Chapter Two had the gun in use. Plenty of color photos and the photographer was following a specific gun, Proud American (as on the cover image) around in Vietnam. Truly disappointing to me as not a SINGLE sharkmouth scheme was found. If you're not into those schemes, then the book is highly recommended.

Regards,

That is awesome about that M107/M110 book. Unfortunately, nobody makes them in my scale so it would be for information purposes only for me. I do love the two Middle East books as well as Op Restore Hope. The two Middle East books would be most helpful in fleshing out my Arab and Israeli Air Forces....

A few more things came in yesterday. My Tempo E-400s arrived safely from Ukraine and some books arrived as well as some other kits. I dont remember if I already posted the French AC Mod 1914. I managed to get the pre sale version with the Forrest decals..

And we picked up 2 kittens who are now going on 9 weeks old. They had been dumped in a farmers field, but luckily found and we offered to take them in. Sam and Salem.

Wow James, nice scores! I have to say, my favorites are those two little kitties! What darling little heartthrobs they are! Well done taking them in.

Looking forward to seeing some of these models on the workbench.

I have a Tempo E400, the pick up under construction already. Just not getting any time to model. I should have pics next time I get down to the bench. Loving it so far. I have the P-51 on the bench also and just got the Yahoo cockpit for it. I really need to get some more stuff done for work so might be clearing the bench to do that.

Back-dating a Martin P5M-2 Marlin to the early P5M-1 configuration. Mark kaorlus' Dad-in-Law flew one during his US Naval service.

I had something brought in to me today at work. At first I was "What is this? I haven't ordered anything in a bit." Then I saw the return address and knew what it was. Two months later and carried on a slow mule by a detour over the Andes mountains. It finally showed up.

Wow, that is freakin' awesome! Cool figure!

Here's what I got some time ago. It had come from a friend on another Forums and I was so busy that I placed it in my Hobby Room and promptly forgot it was there. Just a couple days ago, I went in to try and organize the room a little better and found it again. Opening it up, I found these:

That was a completely unexpected and very welcome surprise.

Got a hold of some decals recently. Some MiG-25 (Ukranian :coolio2: ) & Apache decals courtesy of 48ers, along w/ a couple low-viz Prowler sets and a VA-95 A-6A (improperly labeled as VA-165) from eBay.

Turnaround time means far too much time at work (70+ hr work weeks) on nights, and almost no free time. End result is a surplus of money to make some irresponsible purchases that I normally wouldn't do This year's acquisitions? A full set of dedicated dry-brush brushes and a couple resin figures from Europe.

I've also picked up a Staedler watercolor pencil set, some Windsor & Newton oils, and a couple W&N Series 7 brushes.

i've got a few new books and kits over the past little bit. Unfortunately I've had absolutely no building in the same period. Between getting a new computer as my old one died, getting sick and now waiting out some kidney stones I have not been able to get into the basement. So here is the new monitor (too big but oh so nice), a Ferdinand to go with my elephant, and a 1/35 Stuka. The books are spread around and I just have not gone to photograph them.

Kidney stones are AWFUL!

Feel better!
It wasnt so bad after the morphine and better after the second shot of morphine. But 12 hours in Emergency along with a X Ray and a Cat scan sucked. Then the hospital breakfast. Brought to me at 0900 and put aside while I waited for the cat scan and then given to me at 1130. 3 pieces of cold limp dry toast, one small poached egg served cold, and some dry cheerios. I'm not sure if they gave me tea or coffee but one sip was one sip to much. Bitter and cold. Now a week off to try and get these evil little buggers out of me and I have to go to the hospital to get med records for work so I can be paid. At least I am able to cut down on the T-3s for pain so that is good. Supposed to be T-4s but cant get them at the moment.
Sigh. Whinging doesnt help much.
