Happy Thanksgiving Canada

Well Turkey is in the oven and food prep is happening and I am avoiding the kitchen all day. Boys came over and made breaky and since then I've been playing on the computer and watching the snow fall. About 3 inches so far and no letup. I'm thankful my oldest has his own car and I don't have to be taxi today. Means full on relax mode. Unfortunately Dining room table is in use so no modeling.
Enjoy everyone.

Sounds like a full house of fun James. take some shots of the snow, is it the first snow of the year for ya?

Had some light dusting earlier in the week when we got sideswiped by the storm that hit Saskatchewan but it didn't stick. They got 40cm in some spots (15 inches)
Very early this year although the mountains have been getting snow for the past 4 or so weeks.

Oh that jusr looks cold and depressing. :eek:hmy:

Stil have temps here in the upper 70's during the day. Was in the 40's though last nite.

Enjoy your family time James an Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Happy Thanksgiving James and all our other Northern neighbors :) That explains all the traffic we hit while on my daughter's French field trip to Montreal on Friday! And like voiced above-- I have way too much to do before we get snow hopefully...haven't even started on the firewood yet... :facepalm

Yep, turkey is cooking, family and friends are over and about to sit down for dinner. No snow though, you can keep that over where you are James.

Just about to sit for supper. The smells wafting into my office are making my stomach think my throats slit. They better feed me soon as I'm starving now. Love turkey.
Still snowing btw :D
Sure no one else wants any?

When snot flurries come down here in Memphis the drivers all freak out. :eek:hmy: They can barely drive on dry and sunny. :bang head Forget about wet. :facepalm Ice and snow are easier for me to drive around here as everyone else stays home. :dance

(I grew up in and used to live in Tulsa they got snow and ice, LOTS of ice)

Happy Thanksgiving to our Northern neighbours (y)

Thanks, James but its not in my current diet plan.( thankfully ) .

Cheers, Christian B)

Deviated from the traditional turkey this year and made boeuf bourguignon (a la Julia Child). Stayed with the pumpkin pie and whip cream for dessert.

Cheers,
Rich

The boys came over at 730 this morning and cooked breakfast and then cooked supper. Turkey all the fixings and pumpkin pie. I'm stuffed.

We celebrated a little early!

Had a great day Saturday though! Around 20 degrees and sunny. Now, it's raining like crazy!

I've got a lot to be thankful for. I spent 9 hours at the ER on Monday mornig (12:00 Am to 9:00 AM) waiting to see a doctor because I have a very badly abscessed tooth that had me in agony. Turned out there was only one doctor on duty and there were a number of people coming in with seriou injuries or heart related problems. Thus i kept getting bumped down the waiting list. Fianlly saw the doctor and got prescriptions for 2 types of antibiotics and also for Tylenol 3 for pain control. I'm VERY thankful that there was a doctor to see. many areas don't have an ER at all and therefore I consider having one nearby to be something to be very thankful for. Additionaly because the doctor saw me at 9:00 AM I was able togo to a drugstore on the way home instead of having to ride my bicycle 20 minutes out of the way each way to the 24 hours store.

Then yesterday a friend of mine in the U.S.A. emailed me to tell me that he got me a 1/28 scale Revell Sopwith Camel kit and will ship it to me this week.

We need to look on the bright side of things even when we feel down.

Btw, I'm also EXTREMELY thankful for all the wonderful people i've met on this forum. Thanks to all of you.

Cheers
