Thatch Buffalo

An awful lot of ruminating and still no plastic has been cut :rotf Such a social butterfly :coolio

Looking forward to another Buffalo :good:

Cheers, Christian B)

I have cut plastic thank you very much! Scrubbed off the interior details and cut some resin away.

Well
:bang head :bang head :bang head :bang head :bang head :bang head :bang head :bang head

The True Detail cockpit didn't work out well, got the side panels on and realize they were not made to clear the internals of the wing root, side of the fuselage sits on top of the wing creating a nice butt up wing root. Problem is, the side panel extends past the wing joint so I got to cut away that part of the wing and yadda yadda yadda frustrated yadda. The cross member between the two panels that the seat attaches to is too short and that's as far as I made it before boxing it up again. Had a nice 3 hour session that got no where.

So...I may either smoke out the inside of the canopy or just screw it. Leaning towards the latter at this point. Par for the course this week, frustration week all around.

I'll get started on the friuls again.

Ok MP, step back & take a deeep breath... let it out slowly and, repeat after me... Modeling is fun, Modeling is Fun...
Now what seems to be the problem? Was this TD set made for your specific kit? or, you tryin' to graft a revellogram set into a Hasegawa kit? Which would explain alot.... :zen :zen :zen

It's kinda hard to explain and I don't know if I can get good pictures of it,especially if it ends up under the hammer like I felt like doing yesterday. :rotf

How about a nice Birdecage Corsair? :pilot

Well that sucks. I've always been curious about that True Details set for the Buffalo. Guess I won't be buying one for my next one. I'd pick up an older boxing of the kit and go from there Bob. Sometimes you can find them for pretty cheap on Ebay. :geek

Okay then, brush paint the canopy off white, make sure its not even and then add a sailor polishing the conopy. Cant see in and its an aircraft function (or was).

OK let me try to explain. The panels come down below the profile of the wing, the fuselage sits on top of the wing root.

I guess I could cut out the panel and let it go, you're not going to be able to see in there anyway so what the hey.
