Wingnuts Gotha

Thanks every one!!!

Moment of truth when I got home, took all the masking tape off and the wing held like champ. Now to see if it will hold during the rigging process.

Here she is before i start, really takes shape now with those wings on.

Now lets do this. B)

Remember those turnbuckles I showed y'all earlier, these are the line that run to them.

One thing that I found frustrating during all my Gotha searches was lack of close up picture for the rigging. So I am going do my own as I go for anyone here who wishes to build one.

Here's how I ran the 3 line junction. Kept it simple. Ran one loop and ran the other line through the loop and back up to the attachment point.

Works for me.

And it was done best with the plane in my trashcan :D

Serving as the Air Worthiness Officer I can't pass that sir. If that cable should break in flight you'll lose the integrity of that connection and kill the whole crew. :eek:hmy:

But, but,

You're a tanky guy! Your airworthyness consists of mud all over it! :eek:hmy:

:D

I will add that these GasPatch turnbuckles do not like to be bent. Make your bends before you install them.

Thanks James, I am supper happy the way it is starting to come alive.

Went crossed eyed today but got one side completely done. Looks really good. Working on getting a video to show the rigged and non rigged side.
