No thanks, still dieting....

Had to google that, did not know that about Flemish/French Fries. So what is that on top of them?


That would be Mayonnaisse,in Belgium it's the traditional sauce to go with fries,while in the Netherlands you will get most of the time Fries Sauce,however we call it "mayo" as well,Fries Sauce is lesser sour and oilier then mayo....I guess most of you guys in the U.S will stick to Tomato Ketchup.

We use to do it often back in the day, remember I grew up in the restaurant business and got exposer to all sorts of culinary diversity.

The reason I asked is it looks much more creamy and I saw some other colors, maybe some red and spices mixed in the sauce.

Very cool stuff guys. Thanks for sharing those pics. Ron ketchup is more used up here but some will eat fries with mayonnaise. I used to eat it when we lived in Germany. Even made my own a couple of times. I would think Ketchup would be more popular there seeing as it was a Dutch invention. One of the things I miss here is curry ketchup. That was good.
