Sure enough, I saw that the unit depicted (Normadie-Niemen) received late Yak-1b then Yak-3 aircraft. What does it mean? Easy changes to the cockpit but I won't go too far as the kit canopy is in one piece. I will cut the canopy apart on the second kit.
Examples which can be seen through the closed canopy (and I need to correct as I know about them) is moving the signal flares and holder from the port to starboard side and using the freed area for the large electrical control panel used for these later models with radio.
