Yes, as if I didn't have enough started! Arma Hobby 1/72nd scale Yak-1b

Too tired for anything other than finding the instructions with my notes for my Accurate Miniatures Yak-1b as I know that I already did the research needed.

Sure enough, I saw that the unit depicted (Normadie-Niemen) received late Yak-1b then Yak-3 aircraft. What does it mean? Easy changes to the cockpit but I won't go too far as the kit canopy is in one piece. I will cut the canopy apart on the second kit.

Examples which can be seen through the closed canopy (and I need to correct as I know about them) is moving the signal flares and holder from the port to starboard side and using the freed area for the large electrical control panel used for these later models with radio.

Yeah, yeah, I know...

Well, not much time but I will post this as I see I have to change the control sticks to spade types as both sharkmouth aircraft are from a series earlier than when the plain stick was introduced. Durand's aicraft, as depicted in the decal sheet, is actually newer than Poype's which is the secont sharkmouth scheme.

So Durand's is the 6th aircraft of the 118th series (hence the fuselage number 6) while de la Poype's was the 33rd of the 116th series. This was had white '33' then '30'
