World War 1 - Color Photographs

Thought I'd share this link I found. As I am working on some WW 1 things, I totally lacked color information from 100 years ago. Apparently this guy, a German photographer took some color photos. Some of his work here and some details too.

Hope it helps.

Isnt' that amazing? Almost 100 years old.

There's another website out there that has color photos from that era, these are new to me. Never seen these before.

Thanks Laurence (y)

Thanks for the link Laurence! The color photos really do change the perspective on things. The color of the WWI German uniforms is quite interesting. :notworthy

I enjoy getting the history lesson as I participate in this hobby. It's a fun bonus.
Thanks for sharing, Laurence. :good:

Cheers,

You're all very welcome.

The reason I kept looking for information was for two purposes - the trenches had a lot of wood-beams, ladders, posts etc that I struggled with as I wasn't sure at all about the colors, and the uniforms as well, mainly the german ones. Now this makes it better, finally some visual confirmation on the elements of interest :D
