World Fighter figure

So, I don't many large scale figures. Hasegawa's World Fighters are the only ones actually. It's now time to do facial hair. I tried stippling some on but that didn't turn out well. I thought I'd try some pastels.

I don't think it turned out too bad. What do you figure people say?

Those are fun figures, I'd love to see photos of the other ones you've painted. I've tried painting 5 o'clock shadows on figures before, the best examples I've seen from pros have used more grey paint, not so much the hair colour.

They are quite fun. My profile page is the German MG figure.
I've done five of them..? I'll post some pictures later today.
 
In oils, Raw Umber and Paynes grey are used quite often for the 5 o'clock shadow. Paynes grey has a blue tinge to it. Stippling it on is one way to go.

thanks John, I'll try an oil wash.

(Didn't get a chance to post pictures of the other figures I've done :( I'll make sure I do soon).
