This is where I left off some time ago.

Today I decided to go after the weld seams missing on the MiniArts Model.

Boys and girls I was on a roll placing the plastic rod material when company
drops by and brings a halt to my progress.

I got a good start at least.

Re: WIP SU-76 (continued)

That's 31 rounds of ammo painted and installed in the racks.

Dumb move on my part was mounting the ammo racks first, not so easy to get the shells in there at
this time,but it's done.

Big wheels keep on rollin :D

Re: WIP SU-76 (continued)

Lol Tony... I know how ya feel about getting side tracked. After spending a month getting my new work room up and running I finally sat down to work but the phone rang and spent the evening helping a friend move a fridge :idonno lol.

Model looking great though (y)

Yeah Tim today has been one of those days here too.
I don't know how many times I heard "Got a minute honey?", "Can you take a break for a minute honey?" :bang head

She means well
Oh and Thanks for looking in Tim

Do those tie down loops on the casement look out of scale to you????

Later folks
Tony lee :)

Re: WIP SU-76 (continued)

How do you slip these in without me knowing it Tony? It's looking good, the loops look fine to me, never saw a real one so I can't say but it looks right to me.

Re: WIP SU-76 (continued)

Pup it's easy,I come in low and stay under the radar. :D
I did some research and found that they were just "L" angle with a slot cut for
belts. Several pictures were not clear enough to tell if they were loops or angle iron.

I'll keep looking before I change them out, maybe :hmmm
Thanks buddy

Randy with you being a master craftsman I would think my stuff would bore you to no end.
If it's because you love me well that's a hog of a different color. :woohoo:
Thanks for saying you missed me. ;)

Re: WIP SU-76 (continued)

I think the loops are good, the idea of angle iron with slots is interesting too. :hmmm

Re: WIP SU-76 (continued)

Thinking about it Mike, those slots could cut a belt with the weight of the tarp. Maybe they changed them to loops for that reason at some time or another. :idonno

When does huntin season open??????

Re: WIP SU-76 (continued)

There's this special hat......

No, really! I like the loops!! They look the part, I guess researching all this Russian armor has me looking at things differently. (y)
