Where do things go?

So this isn't the first time it's happened...but I went looking for the decals that came with my SBD-4 kit I won on eBay a few years ago and you'd think it'd be with the kit or at least in my spare decals ziplock but I've not found it yet. Luckily those particular Dauntlesses had little markings...but the one distinguishing markings missing are the yellow-outlined fuselage stars...I have some in the spares, but they're too small. Still looking....but does it happen to anyone else?

Happens to me all the time. I usually end up buying the books or products once more and then find the original.

Regards,

Well they have Torch markings sets, but who needs a whole sheet of them for just one build?

Well...a good update! On a whim, I checked my other AM SBD kit in the stash and apparently I had consolidated the decals in that one box, so I am good to go (even have extras if someone needs them!). Now if only that packet I had containing genuine Pratt & Whitney logos that one of my wife's patients who worked at the company for years gave me would turn up!

Go ahead, scale it down and print it out.

That's cool Saul!! I had a whole mess of them specific to the engine types they had...I never took it out of the house so I really have no clue where they went...damn gremlins!

Hmm...good point John! Lord knows weirder things have happened here--like we smell cigarette smoke occasionally and no one has ever smoked here since there's been a house here ;). Woooooooo...

You know...considering how close we are to the Saratoga battlefield, I suppose it's possible someone's buried around here somewhere ;)

Mike considering time and history of the lands we all are on, it's hard not to imagine someone buried somewhere close to where any of us are.

Imagine living where I used to live in London there were bods all over the place even to the extent that my local park once used to be a Plaugue pit !

True that Andy...they've got quite a few centuries on us! I hope to visit there more in depth at some point. The one night I spent there was sweet, but entirely too short!!

I know how you feel. I lose decals all the time. I have two models currently on my bench that I cannot finish because I cannot find the decals! Most frustrating, especially since I can't afford to go buy a new kit for each one just to nick the decals out!
