Whats happened too Hasagawa ? I was looking through my odd kits ( its not a stash, its just half a dozen left over from years ago) and i have a couple of 1/48 Seakings
One is a Royal Navy AEW Mk2A and the other is a US navy version. I did a search on Hannants, does anyone still use Hannanats ? and they don't have anything seaking under Eduard, Aires or Hasagawa ? I know i have been out of the loop for a few years but surely people still make etch and resin for these sorts of Helo kits ??

All kinds of stuff on ebay if you want to go that route.

I did a search for "sea king" at Hannants & got a lot returns, especially Eduard. The downside to Hannants is they don't specify which kit manufacturer the particular PE is designed for. If you get the Eduard part # from either Eduard or another site (Sprue Brothers is really good about specifying which kit the aftermarket bits are designed for) you can cross reference the Eduard part # back to the Hannants listing. Bit of a pain in the arse, but if you're from the UK the extra leg work I'd imagine would pay you back in the shipping savings.

Thats really odd because i have done another search for Hasegawa Aires and Eduard and Seaking and Sea King and i get nothing ?
Any way not to worry, i looked in the boxes and i have already bought all the PE for both kits and the Flightpath detail kit to convert one of these to a Royal Navy Junglie. Great shame the sliding doors don't open on these kits.
Good news is the eduard PE sets i have are discontinued on the Eduard site so lucky i bought them years ago.

Hope to try and find a Navy Seaking somewhere this week to get some photos. All the working ones have been retired but they must be one in a museum somewhere here :)
